Carmeltia Spats is the bratty girl that the Baudelaires meet at The Austere Academy. She is described as both unsavory and greedy. Carmeltia is a member of the Snowscouts in the Mortmain Mountains. In the 10th novel she is adopted by Count Olaf and Esme Squalor.
