Jerome Squalor is Esme's husband. He is more kind and caring than Esme who really only adopted the Baudelaire orphans because orphans are in. However he did not beleive the Baudelaires when they said that Gunta was really Count Olaf. He only appears in the 6th and the 12th books. In the 12th book he is trying to find to find the Baudelaires at the Hotel Denouement.
